So Im in byron bay. Went to Nimbin yesterday, those who know what happens in Nimbin will know what happened yesterday!!

Going Zorbing in an hour…should be fun…

Been on a boat for 3 days then drove here to rainbow beach and was on an island camping for the last few days….couldnt be arsed writing it up now – waaaaaaaay too tired…

Raodtrip Day 27 – Airlie Beach – Mon 13th Oct

So got up at 10 this morning…

I did my washing and a few bits and pieces.

Me Ray and Shell went and checked into our boat which we are going on tomorrow. We’re on The Clipper, its the party boat for sailing around Whitsundays. Its gonna be a whole lot of fun. Wonder how many times I’ll fall in love….

Then we came to internet cafe…..NOW.

Roadtrip Day 26 – Mission Beach to Airlie Beach – Sun 12th Oct

Distance Driven – 510km

Got up at 9 the next morning, i felt fine. Packed up and packed the car. Said goodbye to Sam and that before we left, definitely meeting up with them in Sydney.

It was a 6 hour drive to Airlie Beach. Half and Half…we were both just knackered after our adrenalin and goon filled weekend!!

Got here anyway and checked into Magnums hostel. Its fuckin massssssssive. People everywhere. We got a “deluxe” cabin, trust me, its not deluxe.

Went for a walk around and then got dinner and a couple of beers.

Went back for a shower and that, I got talking to 2 germans in our room. Drank some goon with them. Nice guys.

Me Ray and Shell then headed out. Had some beers in a pub called Beaches and then came back to the bar in the hostel. nothing too mad. We were in bed by 1.

Roadtrip Day 25 – Mission Beach – Sat 11th Oct

So had to get up at 7.30 for the white water rafting. i was bojangled. Fuckin knackered. Hungover to hell. What a fun night though!!

Got on the bus and Sam, Jo, Jacob and Linnea from the night before were on it too!! Had a mad laugh on the way up with Sam. He was abusing the crap out of a girl, she had 2 tattoos, initials of her bro’s and sisters, so he was calling her Luitenant tesco (you had to be there). GOt to the river anyway, got kitted up. It was the 6 of us on the raft. Our instructor was Darren, cool guy….Linnea was swedish and HOT. Here’s some snaps…

We had a great day anyway. So much fun and banter on the raft!!

Got home around 4 in the PM. I was knackered, tired, so bleedin head (literally). Sat on a picnic bench and planted seeds with Linnea anyway…she bought a bottle of vodka for the night…YES thought I, YES. Also, said goodbye to Lily and Caroline as they were going on in their trip. BYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEE, Becky had left at 10 that morning- awww

Had dinner and a nap and went out to the crew. It was pretty tame coz everyone was wrecked from the night before…got talking to 4 folks from Carlow, had a laught them. All the english boys and the swedes were all out. It was good banter. I think Linnea got 2 glasses of vodka into her before she said she was feeling sick…NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! She wasnt drinking anymore anyway and was in bad form, thats that down the drain! Lovely girl though, and she gave me a kiss and a hug when she went off to bed!! Here’s a few snaps…

So all this time Frenchie was telling us we’re going to bed at 12, definitely midnight….So at 12.30 he comes back saying look ive given you half an hour extra, go to bed. So he went into the office to get something and everyone of us got into the pool…it was hilarious. He even saw the funny side of it….

The night died down after that, went to bed at 2 or something….

I could stay in that place forever!!

Roadtrip Day 24 – Cairns to Mission Beach – Fri 10th Oct

Distance driven – 149km

So we left Cairns around 11 in the morning. Got to Mission beach around 12.40 (supposed to be leaving for the skydive around 1). Got checked in to Scottys by the craziest receptionist ever!! Good laugh. She also convinced Shell to do the skydive!! We were put in a 12 man dorm. 2 girls in there we had met on the reef and doing the bungee!

While we were waiting for the bus we got talking to a girl from Dublin – bit of a nut job! Lily…

Got the bus to the airfield. Got kitted up and went for the plane. Got talking to a group of english lads who were goin up in the plane with us, they were in the same hostel….got to 14000 feet and did this…

Some laugh!! Great feeling. The 60 second free fall was surreal….we landed on the beach outside scottys!

Me Ray and Shell then got some goon and food for a barbeque….cooked that up and started boozing. Now this hostel was different from all the other ones, it was encouraged to drink. So we all sit around a few tables by the pool. Got to know a load of people and we had a mad laugh. Got chatting to all the english lads we were diving with and another bloke called Sam, he was a funny bastard. Also a bloke Jo from sweden, nice guy.

A welsh girl started downing glasses of goon one after another…it was hilarious how drunk she was. We were taking bets on what time she was gonna hurl…she fell into the bin at one stage. So a few of the girls put her to bed…a while later someone went to check on her. And she came out screamming CALL AN AMBULANCE CALL AN AMBULANCE…what had happened was the drunk girl wet herself then tried to get out of bed but fell and smashed her teeth into the gound. One of her front teeth went up into her gum, ambulance took her away but couldnt do much. I was talking to her the next day and she has to go to an emergency dentist or something…poor girl…so that was Injury 1 of the night…

Anyway we kept boozing anyway. I started playing a game with Lily from Dublin, Caroline from Cavan, Becky from Liverpool, Mel from Canadia and Emma from England, the game was called Ride The Bus. It was fun and man did I get messed up on goon!!!

So the game finished up…we were all out of goon (2 cases). Next thing a pool party started. It was classs, people getting fucked in all over the place, cameras broke, mobiles broke…the security guard was goin nuts at us so we threw him in!! His new phone was no longer new…not a happy camper.

Somewhere in all the madness and drunkenness I split my head open. ooops. Its broken.

So the party kept going anyway.Found more goon, I whipped out my guitar. I lose all coordination when Im drunk so wasn’t much use…Becky from Liverpool was awesome on it though. I was in love…again

So round 4 in the AM the security guard, who we named Frenchie (coz he was from…FRANCE? original) started going nuts at us so everyone was hitting the sack. I walked the scouser to her dorm.

Bed at 4.30…

Roadtrip Day 23 – Cairns – Thurs 9th Oct

So got up at 9ish today.

I was pretty nervous about this bungee jump.

Got to the place – it was a really cool. A purpose built 50 meter tower. Got signed in anyway and after a while of psyching up I went up….

The walk up was worse than being up the top….

The dude told me that just go on 5 – its the easiest way – so i was like – fuck it lets do it…..

It was AMAZING….loved it…

Ray got a good swan dive off his….

Came home and went on the internet….that brings me up to now!!!

Tomorrow we gotta go to Mission Beach. Doing a skydive at 1.

Roadtrip Day 22 – Cairns – Wed 8th Oct

Had to get up at 6.45 to do the Great Barrier Reef.

I was hungover. Got a bus to the marina and got on. Great boat, great staff, great food, great day!!

Did some good snorkelling. Got sunburnt to fuck. Saw loads of cool fishies and stuff. Beautiful scenery….

Got home at 5.30 , had a nap then had a couple of pints in the hostel.
Went down to another “hostel” Gilligans. hada couple there then came back to ours for a few more….

Day 21 – Cairns – Tues 7th Oct

Had a great sleep. We got up and did some jobs – laundry and that…

Went for a walk around the town and marina and that – very cool. Saw the boat of my dreams….

Did some shopping….

Then went out – was in Rhinobar for the night – good spot. Funny games on and dirt cheap!!

Got home drunk at some stage….
